Yes! Drinking beer has benefits! But only provided that it is taken in moderation.
Moderation means that it is 1 glass of beer for women in a day, at most. For men, it can be up to 2 glasses of beer due to men’s faster metabolism.
Drinking beer in moderation reduces the chance of a stroke by as much as 20%, and according to a research in the Texas Southwestern Medical Center on May 1999, it reduces the rate of coronary heart disease by 30-40%.
Beer contains polyphenols or antioxidants and increases the amount of good cholesterol in the bloodstream.

Wordpress
Here’s a simple way to display the total number of posts in your categories sidebar:
If you already have a sidebar displaying, then find the wp_list_categories by going to Appearance>Editor and going to the Sidebar.php file. Sometimes, it’s located on another file depending on the theme that you are using. Change the code to look something like this:
<?php wp_list_categories(‘title_li=&show_count=1′); ?>
Adding show_count to the arguments on wp_list_categories will display the total number of posts on your categories just like what you see on the right sidebar of this site.

Stressed and feeling weary? Feel like you’ve lost all the energy to work and face a new day?
Here are a few verses that I find very powerful for times like these:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. –Isaiah 40:31
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. –Isaiah 43:2

Movies
My family and I had fun watching Best Friends Forever today, and here are my thoughts on the movie. While it had some scenes I found corny and exaggerated, like a-little-bit-disturbing-scenes where some of the characters would go cross-eyed in an attempt to look funny, I found it quite interesting and artful in the way it mixed serious drama and comedy. The issues presented in the movie are very real and have deep implications–some of the scenes are actually touching and tear-jerking. But the director was able to artfully inject comedy even amidst those scenes.
This made me recall some of the Filipino movies that I’ve watched in the past years, some of the really good ones. I’ve noticed that Filipino movies are going to the next level and are getting more interesting as the years pass. Some of the movies I particularly enjoyed are Mano Po, Tanging Ina, and even some romantic-and-funny movies. Another area to take notice of would be the Filipino versions of Korean or Japanese shows.
