Hearing Laughter | Laughter is Contagious

Author: Caerberu  //  Category: Laughter and Fun Stuff

Hearing laughter from other people makes one feel good. Sometimes when a person is laughing, the person listening to him would just laugh even if he doesn’t know what the other person is laughing about. Laughter is contagious.

This transference of emotions is very powerful, especially knowing that laughter is the best medicine. One time, I recall feeling ill, then after a roll of laughter that lasted for more than 5 minutes, I felt much better. I was literally cured of my illness because of laughter.

This is just my opinion, but from my experience in doing long walks and jogging at least 30 minutes everyday, laughing and prolonged exercise has similar effects. I feel the same goodness inside after laughing for many minutes and after a long exercise. No wonder we hear stories about people with severe diseases who miraculously heal after watching hours of funny videos.

I Love You

Author: Caerberu  //  Category: Life and Experiences, Personal

Hearing an “I Love You” from a friend made my day. It put a smile to my face and lightened my mood. It really felt good to hear that.

I love you. This is a really powerful phrase.

I love you. It may be a bit overused though.

I love you. What does love really mean?

I don’t know, but it feels GOOD  ;-)

Watching a Prerelease Version of X-men Origins: Wolverine

Author: Caerberu  //  Category: Movies

I just finished watching a prerelease version of the 2009 X-men movie Origins: Wolverine. It was a version that still had a some areas uneditted and unenhanced, meaning you could still see the support wires in fight scenes and in some scenes it had dummy frames for the animations and special effects. The Three Mile Island for one, was a rough skeleton and there was no texture placed on the surface of the island yet. It played from start to end though.

Even with that, I liked the movie. I’m planning to watch the proper and fully enhanced movie when I get the chance to. It has been interesting to see how it looks like before it is finalized though.

Dale Goleman | Social Intelligence

Author: Caerberu  //  Category: Books and Audio Books, Motivational & Self-Help

I was listening to Daniel Goleman’s Social Intelligence audiobook for more than 6 hours now, and I find it fascinating. I’m not done listening to it yet, in fact, the audiobook is still half way done. It’s about the study of neuroscience and how it relates to our social skills.

I find it very interesting because honestly, I’m not so strong in social qualities and much of what this audiobook discusses is new to me. I grew up as an only child, and though I did spend time with my childhood friends most of my adolescent years were spent reading books, studying, and playing computer games.
